HTC and T-Mobile Announce One S Android 4.0 Smartphone
HTC and T-Mobile announced the One S smartphone, which will be available this spring. The HTC One S is T-Mobile’s thinnest smartphone (at 7.95 mm), and will also be the first T-Mobile phone to ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and HTC Sense 4.
The phone will run on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network, which supports speeds of up to 42 mbps downstream. It runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor by Qualcomm. The HTC One S will feature Beats By Dr. Dre audio technology, as well as the cloud-based Google Music app.
A redesigned 8-megapixel camera is also on board, and boasts a 0.7 second shot time, 0.2 second autofocus, and a new f / 2.0 lens that will allow the phone to take photos in low-light conditions.
