Sony Unveils New Phones, Camcorders, MP3 Players, and Tablets
Sony announced its first smartphones under the Sony Mobile Communications brand at the CES show in Las Vegas.
The new Xperia ion supports 4G LTE and has a high-definition 720p display with a 12-megapixel camera. The new Xperia S also will support 3D image capture.
Sony unveiled 13 new Handycam camcorders with a new stabilization system called Balanced Optical Ready Shot.
The Z Series is new to the Sony Walkman line of MP3 players and the devices support wireless (to certain DLNA devices) and HDMI connections.
The new Sony Tablet S features a 9.4” display and the Sony Tablet P has a dual-screen layout with two 5.5” displays, each of which can be used separately (they can also be combined into one large screen if desired).
