Audi Unveils New A8, Q3 Vail, A5, and A4
Audi unveiled numerous new cars at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Audi Q3 Vail (pictured) was designed for fans of winter sports and comes in Energy Red, a color that was developed especially for this car.
The Audi A8 3.0T joins the A8 line in the U.S. with a supercharged 333 hp V-6 engine that develops 325 pound-feet of torque.
The redesigned A5 and S5 models have new exterior and interior elements. Options include adaptive (radar) cruise control with stop-and-go capabilities as well as brake guard, a function that can detect stationary vehicles and apply full braking below 19 mph (30 km/h).
The Audi RS 5 coupe made its U.S. debut. It sports a high-revving 4.2-liter V-8 that develops 450 horsepower and has a seven-speed S tronic transmission with launch control.
The eight-generation Audi A4, redesigned for 2013, will be available with quattro all-wheel drive and Audi drive select, a system that adjusts the vehicle’s transmission shift characteristics, throttle response, and dynamic steering.
The A4, A6, A7, A8, and Q7 will be available with the optional Audi connect infotainment system which incorporates Google Earth maps and real-time SiriusXM traffic information, localized weather, news, real-time fuel prices, Google Local Search, support for Google Send to Car via the myAudi Destination feature, and an in-vehicle hotspot that supports up to eight Wi-Fi devices.
