Following a testing phase that began last year onboard some of its Airbus A380 flights, Dubai-based Emirates Airlines is launching in-flight Wi-Fi for passengers aboard 11 of the airline’s 19 A380s, via its Internet connectivity provider OnAir.

Emirates also plans to install Wi-Fi on all of its A380 fleet, including the 71 aircraft the airline has on order. In addition to Wi-Fi, A380s delivered beginning mid-2012 will also feature mobile phone and data services. Pricing will begin at $7.50 for mobile phones and PDAs and $15 for laptop computers.
