American Expands Benefits for West Coast Flights on JAL; JAL to Add Boston Gateway

American Airlines is offering the following ways to earn and redeem AAdvantage miles when flying on fellow oneworld alliance member JAL from West Coast gateways in North America to Tokyo and beyond, through Feb. 29, 2012.

Earn double AAdvantage miles flying nonstop on JAL on purchased, published business-class fares between Vancouver and Tokyo. Register at AA.com/offers using bonus code JLYVR.

Earn double AAdvantage miles flying nonstop JAL routes between Tokyo and select destinations in Asia on purchased, published business-class fares. Register at AA.com/offers using bonus code JLSEA.

Book a round-trip business-class award for 50,000 AAdvantage miles for nonstop travel on JAL between Vancouver and Tokyo Narita.

Book a round-trip business-class award for 50,000 AAdvantage miles for nonstop travel on JAL between San Francisco and Tokyo Haneda.

Beginning in spring 2012, JAL will add another North American gateway when it begins direct, nonstop service from Boston to Tokyo, reducing current travel time between the two cities by six hours. JAL is offering introductory airfares for its new Tokyo Narita to Boston route, scheduled to launch April 22, 2012, with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The airfares, for travel between April 22 and September 30, 2012, can be purchased online, at JAL’s ticket offices and via travel agencies from November 9 to January 31, 2012.
