British Airways Boosts Executive Club Frequent Flier Benefits
British Airways, a member of the oneworld alliance,
is adding a new Bronze card tier and greater point accumulation flexibility to its Executive Club frequent flier program.
Bronze tier benefits include business-class check-in; seat selection at seven days before departure; a 25 percent tier bonus for every mile flown; dedicated telephone number (UK & US) and Bronze tier luggage tags.
Currently, members start as Blue cardholders, moving up to a Silver card after reaching 600 tier points and to a Gold card at 1,500 tier points. Members who achieve 300 tier points or 25 single flights will qualify for the new Bronze card. Blue cardmembers already at 300 tier points or more will receive their new Bronze card starting November 16.
Additionally, all Executive Club members will now be able to collect as many tier points as they can in any one membership year, rather than starting over when they’ve reached the next tier level.
