Villa Rothschild Kempinski, Königstein, Germany – Hotel Review

DINING

An extraordinary experience awaits you in the Restaurant Villa Rothschild, which is the subject of a separate review.

A few weeks before my stay, the hotel opened up Tizian’s Bar & Brasserie, a less formal restaurant.  It is open for lunch and dinner and my veal Cordon Bleu at lunchtime was delicious.  A three-course meal including a glass of wine is available for €33.

Breakfast, which is served in the Restaurant Villa Rothschild, was wonderful.  While there is no buffet, service is fast and gracious.  The croissants were flaky and perfect and the breads and rolls were wonderful.  My omelette was excellent.  My only complaint was that no carrot juice was available.

BOTTOM LINE

With service that can only be described as sublime, magnificent rooms, an incredible location, and a superb gourmet restaurant, all set on a peaceful park that is close enough to Frankfurt and the airport to be practical but distant enough to provide guests with a feeling of tranquility, the Villa Rothschild is a very special place, one that I hope my travels will take me back to time and time again.
